Eggless by default — not a special order
At grocery-store bakeries, eggless is a special-request substitution that often produces a denser, gummier cake. At Pastry Corner, eggless is the default across every flavor — vanilla, chocolate, butterscotch, strawberry, mango, rasmalai cream, gulab, pista, black forest, red velvet. The recipes were developed eggless from day one. If you want a cake with eggs, that is the special order, not the other way around. This is the single biggest reason Indian-American families in Northern Virginia drive past three grocery stores to order from us.
Why eggless matters for Indian families
Many Hindu families and most Jain families do not eat eggs for religious and dietary reasons. Eggs in a birthday or wedding cake mean the cake cannot be offered to elders, brought to the temple, or shared at religious events. An eggless cake removes that friction entirely — the cake is acceptable across the full extended family and at any religious context. For Jain households, we go further and confirm no onion, garlic, or root-vegetable derivatives in the decorations on request.
Full custom-cake program — eggless throughout
The eggless default applies across the full custom program: birthday cakes, wedding cakes (single and multi-tier), anniversary cakes, baby shower cakes, religious-event cakes, themed kids' cakes, photo cakes, fondant-sculpted cakes, and corporate logo cakes. Tiered eggless cakes hold structurally — we use proper internal dowel supports and a tested eggless sponge recipe that does not collapse under upper tiers. Multi-tier wedding cakes routinely ship across Fairfax and Loudoun.
Lead time and pricing
Standard one-pound and two-pound eggless cakes need 48 hours notice. Themed fondant-sculpted cakes need three to five days. Tiered eggless wedding cakes need five to seven days. Pricing starts around $40 for a one-pound eggless cake; themed kids' cakes run $75 to $150; tiered cakes run $150 to $800 plus depending on size, finish, and design complexity. Photo cakes add roughly $10 to the base price. Vegan (eggless plus dairy-free) is available with 72 hours notice.
How to order an eggless cake
Submit a custom cake inquiry through the website with the date, flavor, design reference, and serving count, or call the bakery directly. We confirm the order, lock in the slot, and send a final-design preview before bake day. Pickup is at the Chantilly location; local delivery is available for cakes over $100 across Chantilly, Centreville, Fairfax, Herndon, Reston, South Riding, and Ashburn. For tiered cakes we recommend pickup because the structure travels safest in a controlled environment.
